H.E.P. Motorsports’ Anstie Top 20 Performance in Arlington, Texas

The 2021 Monster Energy AMA Supercross series has taken over AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas for the 10th, 11th, and 12th rounds. This past Saturday’s round 10 race did not disappoint. Max Anstie continues to catch his stride in his third ever 450 Supercross race. Brandon Hartranft had an impressive day on the track with strong starts and consistent laps, but unfortunate circumstances kept him from the main event. Adam Enticknap continues to recover from an injury suffered in Orlando, Florida and is expected to be back with the team in Atlanta.

Max Anstie (#34) finishes 16th overall in the 450cc premiere class.

Max Anstie (#34) – In only his third race back, Max Anstie continues to improve from race to race in his rookie 450 class campaign. It was a learning experience for the 26-year-old who encountered the tightest track he’s faced so far, which made passing very difficult. In Max’s heat race, he found himself having to fight his way into a transfer position after a difficult start to the race. Max quickly locked down 9th place to make it straight to the main event. The main event went well for Anstie who rode very consistent to a 16th place finish in his third ever 450 supercross race.

“My third 450 supercross in the books,” said Max Anstie. “I’m happy I got my laps in. We are learning and making progress each time. Looking forward to Tuesday."

Brandon Hartranft (#28) continues to improve in his rookie 450 class campaign.

Brandon Hartranft (#28) – The 450 class rookie had an unfortunate night missing the main event by two transfer positions. Brandon raced very good all day, with near hole shots in his heat race and the LCQ. Hartranft got a great start in the LCQ but got clipped by another rider which dropped him back to 12th place. As the race continued, Brandon was able to climb into 6th place, but fell short of the main event.

“From the moment I laid my wheels on the track I felt great all the way up to the LCQ,” said Brandon Hartranft. “Qualifying went well and I had a strong time. In the heat race I got a great start. I was dicing it up with the guys, but a down rider got in my way and set me off rhythm, causing me to miss the main event. In the LCQ, I got a great start, but I came together with another rider and it dropped me back from like 3rd or 4th straight back to 12th. I tried to make some passes, but this track was difficult to pass on. I’m going to take the positives and leave the negatives and look forward to Tuesday.”

“The track was good today. Brandon liked it and so did we,” said Crew Chief Clark Jones from Noleen J6 Technologies. “It was a little tighter than what Max has ridden in the past with this being only his 3rd supercross race in the 450 class. The guys held up good, and the riders did well. Brandon had some unfortunate circumstances in the LCQ where he almost got landed on and messed up his chances of making it into the main event. Max did good in the main event with 16th place.”

The 2021 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series stays in Arlington, Texas for the 11th round this Tuesday. Expect to see the strong racing from Max Anstie to continue and for Brandon Hartranft to get back on track and into the main event.
