    Great Option

    Sounds great, runs great. 2005 Honda XR650L. Wished they made header for the bike too. I do wish they made the Slip-On attachment to the rear of the bike a little lower so the turn signals had more room. Do highly recommend.

    Made all the difference

    I bought a 2008 Honda XR650L last year, ever since then I’ve been trying to get it to have the power it should have and get it running right. Each thing I did made a small difference in the right direction. Stock, my 650L was very weak it overall didn’t run as good as I would like and it sputtered really bad at full throttle. I replaced the air filter with the UNI that helped, i removed the emissions which helped quite a bit, I cleaned and jetted the carb that didn’t seem to do much at the time, I messed with the air/fuel mixture screw a bunch, that helped. The point is I struggled for a long time to fix the bikes issues. I was hesitant to order the yoshimura exhaust because I didn’t know if it would make a difference for this bike I thought the carburetor was the problem. And I was afraid to spend the $430 if this bike wasn’t ever gonna be any good. I ended up purchasing the yoshimura RS-2 exhaust. It’s very easy to install I discovered that I had to remove an exhaust gasket on the header for the yoshimura to fit to slip on. I cut the gasket off and scraped it off with a chisel. After that it fit perfectly and was very simple. I test drove the bike around the neighborhood and was very surprised when I hit about half to 3/4 throttle and it wheelied really big. I could not get the bike to wheelie before no matter what I would do. The engine ran smooth now and all the sputtering was gone. It was exactly what the bike needed The power was immediately doubled yet it ran so smooth
